An expensive-looking 'BEPs' video...

It's the new Herbal Essences advert.

No, no but in all seriousness this is very well done. Fergie looking like the glittering pod of silicone that she is. Levitation. Fetching desert headgear. Elephants from da future. Glowing pyramids. Astronauts. Oh and some truly horrendous vocal effects. Everything you could possibly want and need from a Black Eyed Peas package.

Congratulations to the Black Eyed Peens...

If, by some miracle, you've managed to see past the god-awful post titles on this blog you might be reading this, and if you are, then congratulations to you too, for not being shallow and judgemental. To those deep, generous and loving people still with us, we're here to tell you that the Black Eyed Peas (or is it just Black Eyed Peas with no 'the'?) are currently holding the number 1 AND number 2 spots on the coveted American Billboard Hot 100 singles chart. That's the number 1 spot, with "Boom Boom Pow", and the number 2 spot, with "I Gotta Feeling". Two unique and distinctly trashy hot pop songs for the year 2009. Two songs that this year sound about as fresh as it is possible to get without squeezing Lady GaGa's breasts into a can of Kanye juice.

Two songs that will also, this time next year, by very VIRTUE of their instant freshness sound about as dated, cold and horrible as it is possible for two songs to sound.

Stuck In Our Head: "I Gotta Feeling" - Black Eyed Peas

This is what we expected from a Black Eyed Peas comeback single and it is completely ridiculously majestic in its sleek emptiness. Having said that, though, "Boom Boom Pow" has grown on us like a bonsai tree (don't ask), to the point where we've come to realise its futuristic brilliance... (yes, the future of music is sparseness, terrible lyrics and structural bizarrity).

We cannot decide...

... whether the new Black Eyed Peas song is a minimalistic, futuristic pop masterpiece, or a terrible piece of drivel.

What fresh HELL is this?

This, dear readers, is the REAL cover the up-and-coming Black Eyed Peas album, The E.N.D. WE KNOW. It is HORRENDOUS. Can you iMAgine the record label board meeting where they chose this?
"What we need is a digitally rendered picture of Fergie 'Fergie' Black Eyed Peas with green, rotten fish scales, hollow eyes like a cadaver and a bald Britney head."
We're hoping (or maybe not) that this is something to do with the fact that their latest song/video seem to be one HUGE video for HD Television and that this is just a continuation of it... or um we have no idea.

Up until this point we thought THIS (below) was the cover, and to be honest, it's a hot mess but it's a BIG improvement on the one above.

A transparent Black Eyed Peas video

This is basically just a big advert for some sort of HD television isn't it?

Is this really the new Black Eyed Peas song?

It's not bad, and it'll probably grow on us until we can't get it out of our heads for days... but it doesn't sound like a Black Eyed Peas comeback single does it?
