*shudders with delight*

The intro to this remix is incredible. The actual remix itself is pretty good, all jazzy shoulder-shimmying horn stabs, evoking Judy Garland gurning and shuffling in sombre black and white...

Where were we...

Oh, yeah. The remix is pretty good, but THAT INTRO.

It doesn't scream its brilliance. It's not a kitchen-sink affair.

But it cuts through to the soul.

(Do humans have souls?) (Please don't go there - Ed.)

Thank the LORD it's Friday...

Indestructible (Max Sanna & Steve Pitron Radio Edit) by Max SannaThis isn't the final finished studio album version of Robyn's next single, "Indestructible", but it's a pretty toe-tappable remix, and as such, perfect for a sunny English Friday. Enjoy.

P.S. Nice how above Robyn looks like she's staring fondly, or perhaps patronisingly, down at the Soundcloud embed! Totally unintentional.

I'm a believer (in lush string remixes)...

Vinny Vero at So Hip It Hurts was lovely enough to point us in the direction of this incredible Goldfrapp remix. It's by Davide Rossi (no, us neither) and basically consists of a string quartet reimagining of new single "Believer". It's incredible, as previously mentioned, and, in fact, we'd even go so far as to say we prefer it to the original.

Have a listen and be transported and all that lark.

Jaunty.

We're still not convinced this is going to save Christina's album campaign (we didn't call her 'Xtina'? What's happening to us?!) but it's satisfactory nevertheless. If Aguilera wanted to 'blow the haters out of the water' (or however the erm... 'saying' goes) she should have gone with "Lift Me Up". Obvious, bordering on trite? Maybe. But it had and has much more hit potential than this and, let's face it, "Beautiful" may be a total modern classic with an absolute brills gay-friendly video, but it's not exactly subtle or nuanced.
