This has been bothering us (well... ME in particular... NO ONE ELSE IS SAD ENOUGH TO CARE) for a while. Björk, an artist whose track record of coverart is almost impeccably FANTASTIC and FLAWLESS in every way, released
Volta last year which, despite not being the
Confessions of an Icelandic Dancefloor that everyone hyped it to be, was nevertheless a beautiful, majestic and important innovative musical journey.
It had shit artwork.
Here (above) is how Björk's progression of album artwork has gone. WHAT IS THAT LAST PIECE? Awful! Not only does it not fit in with her previous scheme, but even if you IGNORE that fact, it is (in and of itself) a SHIT piece of artwork.
"Björk wears multicoloured egg"... SOUNDS GREAT ON PAPER. Not so in real life. It's not as if there weren't enough AMAZING promo shots done for the album. For example: here I have simply taken a picture leftover from the Volta promo shots and put it in its place...
SEE!!? MUCH FUCKING BETTER!
