SLAY

There's not much to say about Peaches' long-awaited (can you believe it's been 3 years since I Feel Cream?) comeback: mostly because it's so fucking good. Produced by Boys Noize and Alex Epton, it's a very literal burst of frenetic electro that reminds us why she's the Queen.

A science-based Peaches video...

Two years late, apparently, this was recorded before the album was even out yet in a warehouse studio in Berlin. We know... a sentence born in hipster heaven. Anyway it's the usual fare: some freaky things, some funky things, a stellar song and a mild diversion! Sorted.

'N cream...

Mmmmmmm... delicious! Peaches' new videorama for "I Feel Cream" is loaded with whisked dairy goodness and makes us come over all drippy.

The lully haziness of the visuals and the way she caresses her thighs as she says the word "Thigh"... we need a cold shower.

Stuck In Our Head: "Mud" - Peaches

When we first saw the tracklisting for Peaches latest album, I Feel Cream, we were both struck and terrified by the song title "Mud". Having already witnessed her queasily funny and revolting take on "My Humps" entitled "My Dumps" (DO NOT YOUTUBE THIS IF YOU ARE FAINT OF HEART) you could forgive us for having thought this might be something similarly scatalogical and sick-making.

Fortunately for the general mental health of S&N writers and readers, this doesn't seem to have much to do with bowel movements and is, instead, a slinky, spooky, synth delight, full of lushly harmonised oooohs and aaahs and a very nifty bassline-style electro riff. Brillo pads.

A polygamy-themed Peaches video...

Rumour has it that Peaches, one of the most sexually controversial names in music, is doing a Beyoncé. Yes. A Beyoncé. It doesn't involve spuriously choreographed leotard-themed dance routines. Nor does it involve dramatic Christianity-themed pop balladry. Basically: she's making a video for every song on her album. We have no way of confirming this. But it's a rumour. And rumours are sometimes true.

In this, her video for "Lose You", a spooky and melancholy disco midtempo, she begins by making a rather strange confession to a male/female couple before descending into low-budget discotheque routine featuring holograms and men in unitards.

Anyone suggesting or hoping that Peaches had 'mellowed' or 'grown up' or any of that boring bullshit, here is proof that she's still as barmy as ever. Thank the lord.

How on EARTH did we let this pass us by?

It's a video for "More", the other song off Peaches' new Double A-Side single thing (the first being the flawless "Talk To Me"). It's everything you'd want a Peaches video to be: dark, stylish, sexy. It has silly costumes, inflatable (balloons), and some of the LOLO-est facial expressions this side of 'those crAZY people who are just off the WALL who take ridiculous photos of themselves in Photo Booth at the Apple store and think they are just SO OUTRAGEOUS and outGOing for sticking their tongue out and adding the fishbowl effect'.

Actually Peaches looks nothing like that in this video... we just had to get that off our chest.

EFF EE-GREQUE EE (that's FYI in French)

The brand new (and literally spanking) Peaches album, I Feel Cream, is shaping up to be rather ruddy good, we'll have you know. Gone are the sparse, atonal, minimalistic beats of her previous albums, and in their place we have a sweeping, squelchy, synthy landscape.

At first glance, the whole affair is a little less naughty and tawdry than her previous albums... Lyrically there are fewer strange sex analogies or lyrics about willies, but when the result is as discotastic as this, you can't really complain.

We'll have to live with this a little longer to form a fuller opinion, but for now: v. good.

In the meanst-time, here, above, is the video for her first single from the album, "Talk To Me" which manages to be funky, blippy and cool all at the same time. A masterful feat, we think you'll agree...

Excitement!!!!!!!

We have to say we are rather excited about shock-rock electrocrash rapper, Peaches', new album. It's called I Feel Cream (YES, WE KNOW) and it's out on the 4th of May (which is not as far off as it sounds).

Basically we've already heard some of it because Drums of Death did an amazing 35 minute long mixtape incorporating some of her new stuff and it's SOUNDING GOOD. Some nob'ead at the Guardian (it's actually our favourite newspaper) once said that there's not much more to appreciating Peaches' music than finding fisting jokes funny. Of course we're paraphrasing and actually he might not have said that at all...

Anyway... Peaches' could be doing albums about fisting for the next 60 years and that shit would STILL not get old. Seriously! What can we expect, sexually, from the new album though?

Well... most of the tracks actually have fairly tame names (although "Serpetine" is clearly cock-related, is it not?) but towards the end she chucks in songs called "Mud" (we dread to think... although that seems rather obvious too), "Mommy Complex" (again... mild shudder, but this is Peaches) and "Relax" (not the naughtiest ever, but still...).

From a woman who has given us songs about giving head ("Downtown", "Stuff Me Up", "Suck and Let Go"), boners ("Tent In Your Pants"), anal ("Back It Up") and threesomes ("I U She" and "Two Guys") we expect some prime dirt, even if she hasn't called any songs "Slippery Dick", this time round
