Didn't Xtina already do the whole Circus pullava?

That's besides the point. We were just typing some rubbish up for a supposed A-Level qualification when we remembered the Britter's album leaked today! We here at Shiny & New had been hoping for a follow-up to 2007's electronic masterpiece, Blackout, and so far, we think that's what we've got... Blackout: Post-Breakdown Edition (with an extra helping of ballads).

So far; so amazing.

We knew from first listen it was gonna have to be a bit of a grower, we don't know why... Blackout jumped on us immediately like a contagious virus, but we had a feeling Circus would take a few days to creep into our immune system. It seems, however, to have been a bit faster that we had anticipated in its assault! We're not so taken with the widely-lauded "Kill the Lights" and "Circus", but have been vair impressed with the Bloodshy & Avant-produced "Unusual You", and if we look past the crude attention-craving shouts of "If U Seek Amy", we see a song worthy of any scummy Soho homo lair.

We still don't know as of yet why Titknee chose to add "Radar" to the tracklist... is she releasing it as a single for good, this time a round? It's not even re-recorded, so the motive behind this is still quite obscure. We hope all will be revealed soon but knowing Britney, it probably won't.

Bring on Circus Live 2009.
