We feel we must say something about Prop 8

This blog is run by gays, and therefore, yes, we have a personal interest in Proposition 8 even though we reside on the fair shores of England, not America.

We know it's a bit late for all this, but considering that this is mostly a popular music and celebrity interest blog, and not a political one, we weren't quite sure how to tackle it!

In fact we're not even going to bother, because it's pretty much all already been said by one person or another.

In conclusion we'd like to say that gay people are not just PEOPLE we are the BEST kind of people. We're not asking for special treatment (although god knows we deserve it, considering the oppression we have to deal with) we just want to be treated the same as everyone else. Is that so much to ask?

And before anybody dares suggest that gays aren't oppressed, they are probably the most widely oppressed minority in the world, it's just a lot easier to hide gayness as it doesn't manifest itself physically (I'll be the judge of that etc.) and as a result is oppressed in a very different way to colour of skin or gender.

Also we would like to add that you can kill all the gay people in the world, but new ones will be born and take their place. You'd have to kill all the straight people too to make sure they didn't give birth to any gay people and then there would be no one left. So you picked the wrong group of people to fuck with, religious Right-wing, because GAYS ARE LIKE ZOMBIES... no matter how many you kill... new ones will always spring up in their place.
