We are aware that 'La Roux' is not a girl, it is a band. But actually, if you're being pedantic, Bat For Lashes and Marilyn Manson are bands too, not people so we're going to ignore that and just refer to them as 'her' because we don't even know what the other guy looks like and he may well not exist.
Anyway the point of this story is that La Roux's new single, the bloody ace "In For The Kill", is Top Ten on the iTunes chart, and fairly guaranteed to go top 20 in the UK Singles charts this weekend, unless something catastrophic happens, like people bulk buying Flo Rida singles (please, no).
La Roux should be specifically proud because this means that the public have somehow managed to look through the unconventionally high pitched and 'shrill' vocals, the surly look of a 14 year old teenage boy, and the inability to express emotion on stage.
They, like us, and many others on the blogosphere, have managed to look through the few annoyances to see the brilliant pop song beneath.
