You've probably got the hang of this by now. Well done to Basement Jaxx. Their amazing new single is DESERVED of a number 1 spot, and if we ruled the world (or the music charts) we would make it number one forever (well... for at least 2 weeks).
Last week's number 1, the amazing "Talk To Me" by Peaches, "Say It" by Booty Luv and Calvin Harris' "I'm Not Alone" are the only three tracks to manage a second week on the COVETED 'Hot Right Now' top ten. Elsewhere the Gossip's hot new single "Heavy Cross" crashes in at number 2 (it's underwhelming at first but before long becomes comPLETEly unstoppable)... it's (feat.) o'clock for David Guetta, Ciara, Kelly Rowland and Justin Timberlake at numbers 5 and 7. Peaches has a THIRD song (in two weeks) enter the chart with "I Feel Cream" (again: amazing)... we know we said we thought Polly Scattergood was inredeemably awful but she redeemed herself with "Nitrogen Pink"... and last but not least, Metric's comeback single "Help, I'm Alive" (it's ruddy epic and absolutely brilliant) comes in at 9.
