Mixed feelings...

On one hand, this is a little bit cheap and pointless. FYI, it is amazing German girlband (stick with us) Monrose, doing a medley at the Comet Awards (the German BRITs) and it comprises of (usually) amazingly vocalled Senna singing "I Kissed A Girl", cute as a button brunette minx Bahar singing "Just Dance" and surprisingly loud hot blonde, Mandy, singing "If I Were A Boy" before they all join together and sing "So What". I know... it sounds terrible. It's not far off. Why they couldn't sing their own hits (they have plenty of them) is beyond us. Anyway, whilst it's fairly horrendous, it's probably a lot better than it sounds... which is something.

On the other hand, Monrose really are amazing. They're responsible for some of the best electropop girlband songs of the 'noughties', e.g. "Hot Summer", "Say Yes", "Shame", "Certified", "Strictly Physical"... we could go on, but they remain largely an ignored pop gem outside their home country. In fact, their songs are so good that many of them have been stolen and rerecorded by wannabe failures worldwide all desperate for a piece of their pie. Anyway the silver lining to this rather awkward and pointless cloud is that at the Comet Awards, Monrose won "Best Band" and therefore will NOT be dropped by their label and WILL record a new album by the end of the year.

If you don't care, you should. And if you still don't care, you're reading the wrong blog.
