Inevitable: It's Girls Can't Catch

Popjustice were the first to break the news on Fascination Record's new girlband a while back, and since then they've played G-A-Y, gone on tour supporting Girls Aloud and, by the looks of things, shot a landfill themed video. The facts about them go thus:
  • They have at least one very catchy cheese pop song.
  • They fail to interest us, but then so did the Saturdays at first.
  • They have been compared to Sugababes, Atomic Kitten and Bananarama (!!)
  • Apparently the two brunette ones bully the blonde one (ALLEGEDLY).
  • They are not terrible singers.
You know, the way things are going, we're heading towards yet another era of pop saturation. Girl bands galore, possibly boy bands galore (if JLS and their copycats make big), legions of arty pop lads and ladettes and the return of the super huge superstar (Lady GaGa etc.)... then again we could be heading towards an untimely apocalypse. There's just no telling.
