Some BAD NEWS for a Saturday...

  • Alesha Dixon is allegedly abandoning her Alesha Show Tour in order to become a judge on Strictly Cum Prancing. She will apparently replace Arlene Phillips, a woman with far more expertise than her, because Ms. Arlene is too old. We have no way of knowing if this is true, but apparently Alesha has been such a diva about it, one of her close friends who has been running her fansite for years, has now decided to close it down after being allegedly treated rudely and unfairly. This all sounds unfortunate and upsetting with a dollop of rampant sexism on the part of the BBC. We're hoping it's not all true.
  • September, our favourite commercial dance star and all-round Scandinavian good egg, has allegedly had both her up-and-coming single and album cancelled because Radio 1 wouldn't playlist the former. All we can say is: sad face. The idea that music should have its release killed because of one radio station's decision, is a sad one indeed.
  • It looks like Cascada will be number 1 again this week, but VV Brown's "Shark In The Water" will simply go top 40. :(
