Jessica Mauboy is the closest Australia has to their very own Beyoncé/Lady GaGa/Jordin Sparks. She's an ex Aussie Idol contestant who, according to all sources (who else was tempted to break into "It's Raining Men" there?) has been around for a few years prior to her BIG POP'N'B MAKEOVER.
This is the fifth (FIFTH!) single from her debut studio album, Been Waiting, and yes, it's a little bit 'uninspired video concept in cheap Essex nightclub', but if you'd seen the video to her debut single (the VERY VERY amazing "Running Back") in which she (and Flo Rida!!!) just stood around in a hotel room for 3 minutes, you'd think this was brilliant too. We hear there are rumblings of a big international launch on the horizon, and we think with a few video reshoots here and there she could be very huge indeed. The songs are top notch pop, and Jessica herself seems charming enough to carry it off. We'll see... but in the meantime here's the rest of Ms. Mauboy's 'oeuvre'.
