Nota bene...

In honour of the fact that we're going to see La Goddess Amos tomorrow night in London's Glittering Hammersmith Apollo, we've done a very special Top Ten of the Week. Much like Madonna's special Top Ten, it's supposed to be a little tongue in cheek. Tori only HAS 10 albums (that's still a lot), so they're all included. Ms. Amos still splits opinion here at Shiny & New, as she does in the world of music 'at large', but her mark on music is indelible and indisputable. Putting women who play their own instrument and write their own music, and their frank dissections of sex, religion and power at the forefront of 90s music, she has led a legacy of brutally open (female) singer/songwriters. And she's a hot ginger lady. So she deserves the accolade.
