Monrose are back back back.

So we've been living with the new Monrose single, "Like a Lady" for quite some time now and we can officially state that it'll do. It's fun, it makes one want to dance, it sort of sounds like a hit (although we have no idea how this sort of thing works in Germany). But it doesn't matter that it's not blowing our heads off in a huge squelchy glittery pop gore bonanza sort of way (it's been a fucking long night, don't judge our writing style).

The reason it doesn't matter that this isn't the best pop song ever written is that, when it comes to Monrose, they always pull some absolute STONKERS out of the bag for their albums. Even their last work, I Am, an overlong, varied 15-track mixed bag had 3 solid gold modern pop classics and at least 6 other songs safely in the category of really very good.

So in short: even if the first single is a 3.7 out of 5 sort of affair, there's still hope that the album's going to be a treasuretrove of pop stunningness. After all, this is a German reality-TV-formed girlband responsible for one of the best and most underrated pop albums ever released (Strictly Physical), so we trust. Having said that, this is the artwork for "Like a Lady" and it's horrendous and horribly miscalculated (unless this sort of thing is deeply hilarious in Germany, but, unlike Justin Bieber, we know what the word 'German' means and we don't think so).
