We saw Lauren Pritchard at Latitude '10. We say 'saw', but we were, in fact, at the back of the tent and so, as such, we didn't see her. But we did hear her. We enjoyed her cover of TLC's "Waterfalls", it brought a smile to our face, but we had just indulged in about 12 pints of pear cider, so who knows where the smile really came from.
Anyway this is her new single and we like it for the following reasons:
It takes you by surprise - it sounds run-of-the-mill nu-blue-eyed-soul at first but there's a big brill burst of... well, 'fire' might be an appropriate word
We like videos with what looks like it could be impromptu choreography in them
