Stuck In Our Head: "Physical" - Ultraviolet Sound

We first heard this track in about 2007, not long after we had 'discovered' Madonna. We were still in our experimental, "find-bands-on-MySpace-with-about-80-friends-and-listen-enough-so-you-actually-begin-to-think-they're-any-good" phase though, and it was purely coincidental when we came across the Vancouver electro-pop band Ultraviolet Sound. As far as we know they still haven't taken off three years later, but they make Very Good Pop, and on their MySpace was a mash-up of Madonna's vastly underrated classic "Physical Attraction" (the only good song from her first album she's never performed live) and Olivia Newton John's vastly overrated classic "Physical" - to a newly inducted Madonna loon and trainee homosexualist, this was just incredible.

Anywayz, we completely forgot about said track until iTunes very kindly brought it back to our attention today in a pleasant Sunday evening shuffle sesh. We tried to find a YouTube video of it for you, but maybe as a clue of how much Ultraviolet Sound haven't taken off (sad face), one doesn't exist. So get over to their MySpace NOW - yes, we know you may not have been there in a few years, so take the time to check in and say hi to the skeletons and Friend Requests and Picture Comments while you're there - and listen. It's fabolos.
