Unflawful

We've always felt slightly on the fence re: Marina and we still do. Plenty of promise, but something just doesn't feel QUITE perfect. But this is brilliant. It doesn't look like it had a very big budget, but Marina's vision is so taut and focussed and well researched and full of ideas and sass and gloss but also ideas themselves. It's just great. The song is not quite as good as the video, a very Marina tune and lyrics with sort of recent Britney production (apparently Dr. Luke is responsible, surprise, surprise). But as a full package it's refreshing and alluring. It may not have the reach or broad appeal of a Lana Del Rey release, but that just makes us love it more.
