A 'groovy' VV Brown video...

There's a bit in this video, which despite some rather 'awesome' outfits comes off just a leeetle bit pointless, where VV Brown has HOOVES!!!! Hooves. Hooves. The whole VV campaign has been a big multi-faceted mess, and this looks set to end it (aptly, considering its title), but if there's one thing we can learn from the whole 'shebang' its that there should be more hooves in pop. Forget lessons learnt about releasing your most amazing song THIRD (!) what we can all take from this is just: hooves.

Some underwhelming artwork for a friday...

Up until recently we thought THIS vague monstrosity was the album artwork for VV Brown's long awaited (and long delayed) debut album, Travelling Like the Light. But no. It is this.

What in everloving HADES is this?

According to someone on the Popjustice forums VV Brown might be impersonating a hammerhead shark for the single artwork of her spiffing brilliant new single, "Shark In The Water".

Erm... wouldn't that be taking things a bit literally, VV?

Thankfully she didn't take a similar tack for her first single, "Crying Blood", eh, readers? (Btw do NOT google images 'crying blood' unless you are a vampire/emo/disturbed).

A promising VV Brown video...

Unfortunately, despite VV Brown being 'quite' good she has completely failed to take off. We think this is probably down to poor single choice as her first two ones failed to really get even Shiny & New going (and we're ready to go wild at the mere drop of a 'quirky' female artist).

THIS, on the other hand, her new single, "Shark In The Water", fools you by being rather middle of the road to start with and then surprising you with a massive pop chorus. The more the song goes on the more you realise the chorus is actually very good. Maybe we're just delirious with cabin fever but it's sounding very summery and the first song of hers to resemble a 'hit'.

The video's quite boring, but there you go.
