There was a quite good thing on Popjustice yesterday about the "scary" new Utah Saints remix of Girls Aloud's amazing new single "The Loving Kind". (Sidebar: this is amazing). Speaking of scary remixes, the Space Cowboy remix of Lady GaGa's "Poker Face" is one of the most bonkers and terrifying remixes of recent years (unless you listen to the Soft Pink Truth, in which case it's nothing... oh google them).
It opens with vocodered vocals from a completely different song that descend so that Ms. GaGa quite literally changes sex (Xtina will be pleased) and continues with AIRHORNS GALORE (hence the "HRRRRRNK!!!"). There's a brilliant/frightening bit at about 0:50 seconds when the track just stops for some sort of cymbal of death reverb before crashing into the actual song. You can listen to it above.
Speaking of Lady GaGa remixes, whilst the "Just Dance" ones were generally completely abysmal and not worth your time (the unofficial Vogue-sampling Matt Price Remix aside) the Jody de Broener and Dave Aude Remixes of "Poker Face" are both excellent and WELL worth your time.
