It would look something like this:
But never like this:
Although, with all due respect, both NME and Q Magazine have done some fantastic covers featuring women before. Q's Björk, Tori and PJ cover was and still is inspired, and the naked Beth Ditto NME cover seemed astounding before we fell out with her. But still, isn't it a shame that there really, really isn't a music magazine that caters to people who like both the alternative and the feminine? Covers with women, and there have been some with Kate Bush and Madonna, seem to be the exception as opposed to the rule. Wouldn't it be great, even in an age where the music mag is an increasingly irrelevant formula, if there was a magazine devoted to all musical things fem, queer and bizarre...?
We need to get out more, don't we?
