We honestly don't know. Dragonette is like a dear, dear acquaintance who filled our life with joy for a brief period of time before disappearing completely and only appearing once every six months for an awkward but fun-filled skype conversation. We were all geared up for album no. 2 but after supposed lead single, "Fixin' to Thrill" showed up on the internet, complete with resplendent video, and failed to do any business, we lost track.
"Gone Too Far" is supposedly the next single and you can hear it here (it is completely worth a click, if only for the excellent 'fanmade' video edited together from an old John Travolta movie). The song itself is a glittery disco stomp through country hoedown, and coupled with that simply flawless artwork up there, makes a rather yummy package. We don't know what the future holds for our dear acquaintance, Dragonette, but we hope they come rushing back into our lives as if they were never gone. Oh and don't worry, the laboured metaphor is done.
