We first wrote about "You've Got The Love", Florence and the Machine's cover of the Candi Staton classic, back in March of 09. We loved it then, and we love it now. Those ascending harp figures! Even with it having become the anthem of dreary, cool-chasing, hipster dullards the world over, we STILL haven't gone off it. And we knew eventually it would be a single, especially after "Drumming Song" failed to penetrate the Top 40.
The above video is sparkly, features a giant moon (as in the large natural satellite orbiting earth, not a giant naked bottom) and some very nearly gay snogging. It's quite simply 'fab'. As such there doesn't seem to be any re-release artwork (yes, it's already been a video-less hype single slash b-side etc.) but we'll get onto you when there is. Enjoy!
