Some things you might want to know about the RETURN OF KELIS (fucking FINALLY!). First of all: she has grey hair now. We're not sure how we feel about this, but it's certainly a welcome change. Kelis has always been a level 8 weirdo (we mean, she listens to and wilfully collaborated with Björk, writing her own chorus all by herself - and she goes seabass fishing in her spare time) so the grey hair isn't surprising to her. It was only a matter of time. We DO like how she's rocking gold skulls and a mullet!! I mean... c'mon. Who does that? Kelis does that, that's who.
The second thing you might want to know is that she has a new logo. It's fairly 'glam' and 'nifty' isn't it? It's quite striking and an attractive 'distressed' font. It could almost pass for the logo of a tacky but expensive nightclub, but y'know. 'Whatever'.
The third thing you should know is that Kelis has a new record deal, new album and new song. The song is called "Acapella", is produced by David Guetta (apparently) and from what we can tell, we think it's brilliant. We'll get back to you on that one. Yes, yes we know we always say that, but we've learnt from our mistakes (i.e. our initial reactions and judgements are almost always WRONG) so it's probably best if we give it at least a couple of plays.
So there you go. Exciting isn't it?

Mm, sounds bloody good. David Guetta did "When Love Takes Over", and that was pretty damn good (you're going to hate me for saying that, arent' you?)
ReplyDeleteLove that logo.
Bjork? sounds like a rumour.
