Stop. Everything.

We've been waiting for this night for MONTHS.

We didn't believe it at first, but gradually we were convinced it was going to happen. And now here is the proof. First there was Beyoncé featuring Lady GaGa... then there was Lady GaGa featuring Beyoncé. How was this possible? We do not know, but the results were predictably AMAZING.

Let's leave the best for last.

Firstly we have Bey-Bey's eight millionth release from her masterpiece I Am... Sasha Fierce, "Video Phone", which has been re-swizzed with a fabulously atmospheric intro which will lend itself brilliantly to the video, and a cute little verse from Lady Ghett- sorry, Lady GaGa herself. Breathing new life into one of our not-so-favourites from the EP, it has beefed it up to a chart topper, which was presumably the aim. Well done everyone.

Secondly, we have Lady GaGa's "Telephone" (yes, we are determined to find a connection between "Video Phone" and "Telephone", it is not pure coincidence... you'll see) from the sequel to her debut The Fame, The Fame Monster - but you already knew that. When we found out Beyo herself was showing up on this track, it crossed into "No. This. Is. Too. Good" territory and we stopped thinking rationally. From the Renaissance-harp introduction (Darkchild, who knew?) we are launched thirty seconds later head first into pure GaGa pop bliss, the stuff which shot her into the stratosphere this past twelve months - this will only send her higher. What can we say? The amazingness of the song is exceeded and surpassed surprisingly by Beyoncé's fabulously bitchy verse, which takes the track to brand new levels of tremendousness. Epic. Epic. Epic.

Please. You are doing yourself a ridiculous injustice by not checking these tracks out. We can honestly say, eleven months into the year, "Telephone" is our favourite song of 2009.
