We're not going to bother trying to convince you that Marilyn Manson is an artist worth indulging in. Either he's a misunderstood industrial goth-pop genius with an understanding of iconography as savvy as Madonna, or he's an overrated idiot, a relic of the 00s or you don't care. Either way, we can't and we won't persuade you.

Even if you are a fan, however, you can't deny that his new vidular and single-type offering is slightly... underwhelming. It's not that it's bad, per se, it's just that it doesn't offer anything new, nor is it particularly grabbing or enticing. It sort of sounds like an album track from a bygone album. And the video... well... it's not the kind of thing you'd expect Pixie Lott to release, but considering Manson's previous ability to shock with purpose and intelligence, it's uninspiring to say the least. Anyway. There's a new MM album, Born Villain, arriving on April 30th. Here is its album artwork in context:
